Overview

A Gold Mine in the Philippines sought a tougher, longer‑lasting GET solution for their ST1030 loader. Their existing system was not delivering the wear life needed to support production efficiency. CR partnered with Epiroc Philippines to trial Wearpact Light—aiming to reduce downtime, extend component life, and improve overall bucket performance.

Approach

To ensure a seamless trial, CR deployed two specialists to the mine site to lead the installation of the Wearpact Light lip system. The visit included:

Guided installation and removal training for the GET Hands-on coaching for the maintenance team Best-practice tips for accurate inspection and wear
tracking.

Throughout the campaign, CR and Epiroc worked side-by-side, conducting fortnightly inspections and detailed wear measurements to optimise performance and plan targeted interventions.

Results

The trial delivered outstanding outcomes—well above the customer’s expected wear life.

2,757 Hours of Total GET Wear Life
Through careful monitoring and proactive maintenance, the GET achieved 2,757 operating hours and extending the life of the full GET set.

Extended Life Through Strategic Component Replacement
Data gathered during inspections enabled CR to recommend two timely end-blade changeouts, which substantially prolonged the complete GET campaign without compromising performance.

Zero Lost Shroud Events
Wearpact Light maintained exceptional reliability across the entire trial, with no lost shroud events recorded.
