CR and Goonyella Riverside Mine Partner for Over 40 Years

Partnering for more than 40 years with BMA Goonyella Riverside Mine (GRM), CR (formerly CQMS Razer) has focussed on innovating industry-leading dragline buckets to ensure efficiency and productivity for its longstanding partner.

Across this time, seven buckets have been implemented at GRM, with multiple buckets digging across BMA mine sites.

CR’s dragline buckets are proudly 100% Australian-made, with bucket castings manufactured in CR’s Maryborough foundry and built locally in Mackay, all within the Queensland region.
Alongside manufacturing and production, CR is proud to support the local community and sponsors many charity events.

CR’s Hurricane™ dragline buckets have been a game-changer in the industry over the past 12 years. By moving from a conventional style bucket to a Hurricane, sites have consistently seen productivity improvements upwards of 12%.

When GRM was looking to further reduce down time on draglines, CR was up for the challenge. By analyzing the design of current ground engaging tools (GET), CR developed a new range of box points which resulted in a large reduction in down time. This was achieved by cost savings on GET spend.

CR’s dragline buckets are part of a large suite of productivity-enhancing solutions, including cast lips, GET, digital technology, and wear solutions.
