Berkeley Forge & Tool acquisition
In September 2019, CR (and American Industrial Partners) and Berkeley Forge & Tool (BFT) entered an agreement under which CR would acquire BFT’s mining products and associated IP including patents, new product development pipeline, branding, and trademarks. The combined business will enhance capabilities to effectively supply and support the global mining sector especially in the North and South American markets where BFT has been providing the industry with innovative products for more than 50 years.
Thunderbird Drilling acquisition
In early 2020, CR Digital (and American Industrial Partners) announced the acquisition of Seattle-based Thunderbird Mining Systems, in a transaction to further expand CR Digital’s product offering, IP, sales/marketing, and technical support activities in blasthole drill optimisation technology.
Keech underground ground engaging tool product line acquisition
In July 2020, CR (and American Industrial Partners) and Keech Castings entered an agreement under which CR would acquire Keech’s underground business (Underground Ground Engagement Tools, “UGET”) including customer contracts, mining products, and all associated Intellectual Property. The acquisition included Keech’s UGET WearPact™, ArmourBlade & new SNRG™ product lines. The acquisition was a strategic move by CR to create a complete GET technology offering for both Open-cut and Underground mining activities.
GET Trakka acquisition
In November 2020, CR (and American Industrial Partners) entered an agreement under which CR would acquire GET Trakka, and all associated Intellectual Property. GET Trakka is an industry innovator with the only field-proven system providing reliable sensor-based G.E.T. (Ground Engaging Tools) loss detection for mining equipment, along with data analysis and reporting systems for enhancing maintenance and productivity performance. The GET Trakka product solutions are based on built-for-purpose industrial IOT platforms with rugged embedded wireless sensors to provide revolutionary productivity and safety outcomes for the mining industry.
