Maintaining a DIFOT of 95%+

The Challenge

The challenge for the customer was the availability of GET supply to ensure operations, while minimising working capital employed. The challenge for CR was to maintain a consistent (Delivery In Full & On Time) DIFOT of >95% to ensure supply is available when needed, without having to carry excess stock across multiple sites and multiple asset types

The Solution

The team at CR worked with a range of internal and customer stakeholders to monitor, streamline and increase the effectiveness of forecasting, maintenance planning, stock availability, processing, and delivery of Lips and GET to exceed expectations and ensure that asset availability is not impacted by lack of supply.

A dedicated CR project team was assigned the challenge and collaborated with the customer, to align processes moving forward across multiple sites and multiple asset types. With this new partnership, CR was able to optimize supply, while maximizing machine availability and eliminating down time associated with GET supply. With confidence in the GET supply chain, the customer was able to optimize their own procurement and stock management process to minimize working capital without impacting machine availability.
