Meet Michael

Michael is a seasoned GET (Ground Engaging Tools) specialist bringing decades of hands-on mining experience to the CR Powered by Epiroc team. He has played a pivotal role in developing the Western Australia mining region, growing it from a handful of active lips to over 180 in operation today.

As a key leader, Michael heads up the Technical Field Service (TFS) team for Western Australia. He supports all allocated mine sites in the region, with a focus on achieving budgeted sales targets, implementing strategic account plans, and transforming customer relationships from transactional engagements to long-term strategic partnerships.

Michael’s in-depth knowledge of mining equipment performance, combined with his practical field experience, makes him an invaluable resource for optimizing the productivity and reliability of GET systems on-site.

Beyond work, Michael enjoys golf, fishin’, and restoring his 1975 XB Falcon. He also spends quality time on his farm, coaches his daughter’s basketball team, and follows both cricket and AFL. His secret to maintaining work-life balance is staying organized and keeping a steady routine for his family.

For new team members, Michael offers this advice:

‘Train yourself on the product, build relationships, and always follow through on your commitments. Learn from every department to gain a full understanding of how we work together to deliver value to our customers.’

What Michael loves most about the mining industry is the constant challenge of the GET market and the opportunity to collaborate with passionate people.

‘I enjoy working closely with the Engineering team to solve problems and develop GET solutions that deliver real field results. That’s what drives success for CR and our customers.’
